Eligibility:
Each time you register for the SAT, you can send your scores to up to four colleges for free.
Deadline:
Considerations:
Free score reports are sent automatically after your test is scored. Because you won’t be able to view your scores before they are sent, you cannot use Score Choice for these reports. This may pose a risk if you are uncertain about your performance.
Cost:
After the free report window, sending additional score reports costs $14 per report.
Rush Reporting:
If you need your scores sent quickly, rush reporting is available for $31 per report, delivering scores within 1–4 business days.
Fee Waiver:
Students eligible for SAT fee waivers can send unlimited score reports for free. Contact your high school counselor to determine eligibility.
Processing Time:
The College Board typically sends scores to colleges within 10 days after you receive them.
College Processing:
Once received, colleges may take an additional week to process your scores.
Recommendation:
Send your scores well in advance of application deadlines to ensure timely delivery.
Score Choice:
This option allows you to choose which SAT scores to send to colleges. You can select specific test dates, though not individual sections from different dates. Be aware that some colleges require you to send all your SAT scores.
Superscoring:
Some colleges consider your highest section scores from multiple test dates to create a new composite score. Check each college's policy on superscoring to understand how they evaluate your scores.
Global Recognition:
Over 500 institutions across 85 countries accept SAT scores for admissions. This is particularly relevant for English-taught programs in regions like the EU.
Sending Scores:
The process for sending scores to international colleges is the same as for U.S. colleges. Always verify individual institution requirements and deadlines.
